Role of glycans in cardiac and neuronal functions in health and disease

We are looking for a postdoctoral scholar to study the role of glycans in the control and modulation of cardiac and neuronal functions in health and disease. The lab uses a variety of whole animal and cellular imaging, electrophysiological, biochemical, molecular, and transgenic methods to study cardiac and neuronal signaling and function, from the protein level through whole animal physiology.  We are looking for someone with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: echocardiography, cardiac or neuronal electrophysiology (ranging from ECG/EEG measurements to whole cell recordings), optical mapping techniques, contractility, Ca2+ signaling, cardiomyocyte or nerve biochemistry including membrane protein purification, glycobiology, and signaling mechanisms.

If interested, please contact Eric Bennett at eric.bennett@wright.edu and apply to jobs.wright.edu/postings/14529. Review of applications will begin immediately, and will continue until the position is filled.
