10 Oct Nominations for new Members of the Board for the AAS
Dear Members of the American Autonomic Society,
We are seeking nominations for new Members of the Board for the AAS. The Board of Directors of AAS is responsible for defining the priorities of the society and planning and directing society activities including the annual meeting. The Board meets monthly (virtually) and at the annual meeting.
If you are interested, please send your CV and a paragraph (maximum 1 page) describing your qualifications, previous contributions to AAS, and reason for wanting to be a member of the board to amber@americanautonomicsociety.org by October 21, 2022.
Please note the following requirements for board membership:
1. Must be an AAS member in good standing
2. Must participate in monthly phone/video board meetings and attend the annual meeting
3. Must be willing to dedicate 3-4 hours per month to board duties including: meeting planning, grant writing, abstract reviews, and other board-related projects
4. Expect to serve a 3-year term without significant time away
