Question: What is your research on?

Answer: My research is clinical descriptive research of peripheral autonomic neuropathies

Q: How did you get to where you are today?

A: Dr. Phillip Low stated that he became interested in the autonomic nervous system since it was, despite its intrigue within medicine, “totally neglected because there was a lack of coherent knowledge in the field”. Although much progress has been made in the nearly 50 years since then, the field continues to suffer from this. As a clinician, I see the real-world implications these knowledge gaps have on patients looking for answers and optimal care.

Q: What advice do you have for new trainees?

A: For those pursuing clinical research, let the patients you encounter inspire your research questions.

Q: What are your favorite pastimes or hobbies?

A: Cycling, hiking, and brewing beer + cider from homegrown hops and apples.

Q: What are your favorite foods?

A: Poutine.

Q: What is your go-to karaoke song?

A: “Lawyers, Guns and Money” by Warren Zevon
