Question: What is your research on?

Answer: Autonomic-Cardiovascular Regulation of Blood Pressure; Women’s Health Across the Lifespan

Q: How did you get to where you are today?

A: I took a bit of a tortuous route to get to my research. After starting as an engineering major, I discovered a passion for exercise physiology that I fully intended to leverage into a career as a physical therapist. After discovering the research bug, though, I slowly engrossed myself in the causes and consequences of cardiovascular diseases in various populations, particularly those underserved or underrepresented in research.

Q: What advice do you have for new trainees?

A: Never be afraid to make a mistake. Often, our greatest improvement comes from recognizing and reflecting on what went wrong.

Q: What are your favorite pastimes or hobbies?

A: I greatly enjoy being on my bike, cooking something new, or diving into a good book.

Q: What are your favorite foods?

A: Swiss steak with mashed potatoes

Q: What is your go-to karaoke song?

A: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
