ACADEMIC FACULTY – UT SOUTHWESTERN MEDICAL CENTER

The Department of Neurology at UT Southwestern is recruiting for a faculty at the assistant or associate professor level to join the autonomic disorders section.  Candidates should be board-certified in neurology and have fellowship training or experience in clinical autonomic disorders (certification or eligibility for UNCS board certification in autonomic disorders).  Opportunities exist for mentorship and academic development for early career faculty.  Candidates with additional training in other neurology subspecialties (or an interest in general neurology) are desirable.

UT Southwestern has a busy autonomic disorders program with active clinical research activities and autonomic testing laboratories at four affiliated clinical sites.  There are specific multidisciplinary programs for multiple system atrophy (MSA) and postural tachycardia (POTS).  Patients are referred from throughout the DFW area as well as from across the United States.  The autonomic research program is supported by endowments and research grants.  The faculty provide teaching for a large medical school and neurology residents, and there is an accredited one-year fellowship program in autonomic disorders.
