The Center for Neural Science (CNS) at New York University (NYU) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor. We seek scholars with innovative, rigorous, and impactful research programs in cellular, molecular, or systems neuroscience. CNS is an interactive research environment and our faculty have broad interests in cellular and molecular neurobiology, sensory and motor systems, animal behavior, and computational neuroscience. The successful applicant will join a collaborative neuroscience community spanning the Arts and Sciences at the Washington Square campus and the School of Medicine. More information about our department can be found at www.cns.nyu.edu. The appointment can begin as early as September 1, 2024, pending administrative and budgetary approval.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree, postdoctoral experience, and a strong record of research achievement. Appointees will establish their own independent research program and contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and graduate students.

Pay Transparency
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 – $150,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
